You can activate a support officer by collecting their support officer fragments, as each support officer has a specific set of fragments. To use their skills, click on the "Officer" option at the bottom of the screen, then click on "Manage station." You will see two different tabs. The first is for the officers responsible for production operations, and the second is for the officers responsible for support operations.

Choose the officer you want and then click "station," just like that, the skills are automatically applied by the system.
